I am a postdoctoral scholar at Bard College studying our Universe with gravitational waves. My interest lies in leveraging precision measurements of the local environment of detectors to facilitate more accurate measurements of astronomical data. Understanding how environmental noise affects our current generation of detectors will inform how we design our next generation of observatories. I currently simulate scattered light noise in proposed Cosmic Explorer designs to estimate environmental noise contributions for given site and design choices.
